Close-up of a bee with pollen sacs on its legs.

In 2025, volunteer members received training and  participated in the Southeast Bumble Bee Atlas. Our group has committed to doing two surveys each year between April and October.

Our first survey for 2026 will be timed with the bloom of Bee balm and mountain mint.

Once determined, the date will be published here and on our Facebook page.

During the year we coordinate volunteers in Chattahoochee River clean up efforts.

Sweep the Hooch was March 21, 2026. Our volunteers removed 325 lbs of trash, contributing to the 11.6 tons removed all along the watershed.
